Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated teaching assistant to join our team in a secondary school environment. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one and small group support for students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the best possible education and care.


Key Responsibilities:

* Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning strategies in collaboration with teaching staff to ensure each student's unique needs are met.
* Support students with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties, promoting inclusivity and accessibility throughout the school.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to review meetings when required, providing valuable insights into their development and growth.
* Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies, creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.


Requirements:

* Previous experience supporting students with SEN, ideally within a secondary school environment, is essential for this role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build effective relationships with teachers, students, and parents, ensuring seamless collaboration and support.
* Patient, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure, you will provide the stability and consistency students need to thrive.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students is paramount, upholding the highest standards of child protection and wellbeing.
