We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Factory Manager to lead a dynamic team in a thriving cabinet making and commercial joinery factory. This pivotal role requires a hands-on manager who can drive productivity, maintain exceptional quality standards, and ensure the smooth operation of a manufacturing facility. You will be instrumental in delivering a diverse range of projects, from large-scale commercial fit-outs to intricate custom bespoke cabinetry. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to Production Manager and Managing Director you will provide regular updates on factory performance, project progress, and operational challenges. Oversee the end-to-end production of commercial joinery projects and custom bespoke work, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of skilled cabinet makers and factory staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Develop and implement efficient job scheduling, workflow optimisation, and resource allocation to maximise factory output and meet deadlines. Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process. Manage the purchasing of consumables, hardware, and raw materials, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost-effectiveness. Utilise and manage an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system for job tracking, inventory management, and production reporting. Ensure a safe working environment for all staff, adhering to all relevant workplace health and safety regulations. Essential Qualifications & Experience: A recognised trade qualification in Cabinet Making, Shopfitting, Joinery - essential. Proven experience (3-5 years) in a supervisory or management role within a cabinet making or commercial joinery manufacturing environment. Solid understanding and practical experience with ERP systems for manufacturing operations. Exceptional organisational and scheduling skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. What's on Offer?
