We’re looking for a culturally responsive and dedicated Caseworker to walk alongside Aboriginal families impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence.
You’ll work with individuals and families experiencing complex trauma and family disruption, providing trauma-informed, culturally safe, and client-led casework that prioritises safety, healing, and self-determination.
In this role, you will:
* Deliver responsive case management to families experiencing violence, abuse, or at risk of harm.
* Develop and implement strength-based case plans with clear, achievable goals.
* Collaborate with families, kin, communities, and service providers to support safety and connection.
* Work closely with BaptistCare and Relationships Australia through our local care team, building coordinated, wraparound responses for individuals and or families.
* Respond to child protection concerns and conduct risk assessments as per MRG and mandatory reporting guidelines.
* Maintain accurate case notes and client records, and ensure all reporting meets funding and legislative requirements.
* Advocate for clients navigating housing, health, justice, and family law and child protection systems.
* Participate in interagency meetings, cultural events, and yarning circles to build trust and connection.
You bring:
* Cert IV or Diploma in Community Services (or working towards)
* Experience in domestic and family violence, child protection and or case management
* Deep understanding of intergenerational trauma, Aboriginal kinship systems, and the cultural needs of families
* Strong communication, advocacy, and record-keeping skills
* A commitment to safety, healing, and cultural integrity
