About the Role
Reporting to the Home Assessing Team Leader, the Desktop Assessor is responsible for the end-to-end management of allocated claims. You will establish the cause of damage as well as determining the scope and cost of repair to insured properties, whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
This position is based full-time at our "Sunshine" office.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct desktop assessments using virtual assessing and/or causation reports provided by panel suppliers.
* Produce detailed reports, determining cause, coverage, damage and best repair methods.
* Review scope of works and expert reports to ensure the most cost-effective and timely method of repairs.
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities and third-party building surveyors.
* Negotiate and define scope of work and associated costing with key stakeholders.
* Manage claims end-to-end, ensuring cost, quality and service controls with the Claims Operations Team.
* Achieve consistent adherence to key performance measures (KPIs).
* Submit reports, review SOWs and documentation in a timely manner as per set SLAs.
What Experience You'll Bring
* Previous experience in insurance, building or construction industry is highly desirable.
* Exceptional customer service and supplier relationship management experience.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
* Experience preparing scope of works, quotes and estimations is extremely advantageous.
* Confidence using technology.
