About the Role
Balan Village Motel is seeking a reliable and experienced Relief or Permanent Motel Management Couple to live and work onsite (immediate start). This hands-on role is ideal for a couple with a strong commitment to guest service and operational excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the property, maintaining high standards of service, presentation, and guest satisfaction during relief periods.
Experience is great but if you have a good attitude with no experience, we'd still love to chat with you.
Onsite accommodation is provided in a comfortable one-bedroom manager's residence. The motel is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the charming cafes of Berry and 30 minutes from the stunning beaches of Jervis Bay. Bomaderry train station, gyms, and grocery stores are nearby. Days and hours are flexible, and support is available from an offsite staff member for calls and administrative tasks during relief shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding guest service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
* Oversee daily motel operations including reservations, reception, housekeeping, and general maintenance during relief periods
* Manage email and phone inquiries promptly and professionally
* Handle purchasing, inventory, and stock control as needed
* Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations and industry standards
* Provide local tourism recommendations to guests
* Monitor room quality and maintain the motel's presentation
* Support existing staff and processes during relief shiftsNote: This role does not include room service or breakfast operations
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
* Previous experience in motel or accommodation management (preferred but not required)
* Familiarity with Property Management Systems
* Experience managing OTA platforms such as and Expedia
* Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
* Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
