About the Role
This is an opportunity to join our quality assurance team as a lab technician. You will be working on a 12-month maternity leave cover, ensuring the quality and safety of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Testing and Quality Control: Prepare media and perform microbiological testing of finished products, in-process samples, and environmental swabs.
* Sensory Evaluations: Conduct sensory evaluations and shelf-life testing as required.
* Sample Management: Receive, process, and accurately label samples for testing.
* Laboratory Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised laboratory environment.
* Data Recording and Analysis: Record results accurately, complete documentation, and assist with data entry and trend reporting.
Requirements:
* Experience and Skills: Experience or interest in food or microbiological testing.
* Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, accuracy, and safety awareness.
* Communication and Teamwork: Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Reliability and Flexibility: Reliable and proactive, with flexibility for early starts when required.
* Computer Literacy: Basic computer and data entry skills.
