The Opportunity
Partnered with our client Merbain Homes, we are looking for a Carpentry Apprentice wanting to get their hands on the tools and learn all aspects of residential construction, while completing a CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry.
This position is open to 3rd and 4th year apprentices with relevant work experience. Mature‐aged candidates are encouraged to apply.
This position is full‐time. Head office is based in Graceville, with travel to multiple residential sites around Brisbane required.

You will be mentored by industry professionals while completing a blend of on‐the‐job training and theory coursework, working all over the Brisbane region.
Your Duties Will Include, but Are Not Limited To:
* Assisting with the construction of various pre‐cast concrete products, including panels, bridge beams, structural foundations, floor slabs, and retaining walls
* Framing, fixing, cladding, and finishing carpentry work
* Assembly and dismantling of formwork
* Reading plans and technical drawings
* Working from measurements
* Using carpentry tools and equipment, including nail gun, saws, levels, and drills
* Handling carpentry materials
In Addition To These Qualities, You Will:
* Have completed a minimum of year 10 with good results in English and Mathematics
* Have a manual driver's licence
* Have a construction White Card (or be willing to get one)
* Be safety‐minded and work safely
* Be well presented
* Have excellent listening skills and be able to follow instructions
