The Island Port Cafe – Port Of Brisbane QLD
The Island Port Cafe' is seeking a Cafe Grill Cook to join our team in our fast-paced cafe located at the Port of Brisbane, QLD ****.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious meals from our diverse menu.
With a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients, your work will be crucial in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our customers.
This position is Monday to Friday, from 5am to 2pm.
What you'll be doing
Prepare and cook a range of cafe-style meals, including burgers, grilled sandwiches, salads, breakfasts, and hot dishes
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely, efficient, and safe manner
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate meal service
Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
What we're looking for
Relevant experience as a grill or line cook in a cafe, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting
Any previous experience as a grill or line cook is welcomed and valued
Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
Familiarity with cafe-style menu items and a passion for creating delicious, high-quality food
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
