Position Overview: We are seeking a Leading Hand to join an established project team. You will assist our supervisor to plan and deliver civil construction projects in Cairns and surrounding regions. Your technical knowledge will complement your work ethic to complete project on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with planning and organising resources to successfully meet client expectations
* Read and communicate construction plans.
* Assist with leading the team
* Set the pace onsite by using your experience and knowledge of construction processes
* Provide technical knowledge and train others
* Assist the supervisor with relevant paperwork
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Leading Hand
* Relevant industry certifications
* Strong knowledge of local standards or ability to obtain
* Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans
* Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Committed to safety and teamwork.
* Valid driver's license.
