The Role

The role offers the chance to lead plant maintenance in a dynamic FMCG environment. The successful applicant will be exposed to a large variety of world‐class equipment and a range of technological advancements as they are implemented throughout the business. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor and Planner, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Undertake routine preventative maintenance activities to maintain reliability of plant and equipment
• Respond to machine downtime events with haste, requiring fault finding/diagnosis and repairs
• Complete daily shift handover reports in collaboration with your team of fitters to communicate to the business
• Supervise, assist, and mentor other maintenance team members
• Plan and install new plant and equipment projects
• Provide immediate responses and troubleshooting expertise to emergency work orders/breakdowns as required
• Contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the maintenance team, including maintaining punctuality
• Participate in further training required by Hazeldenes

About You

• Relevant trade qualifications as a Qualified Fitter & Turner, Certificate III Engineering / Mechanical trade
• Experience in the Food Industry
• Experience supervising and mentoring tradesmen in a production environment
• Sound problem‐solving techniques/ability and mechanical aptitude
• Utilisation of a CMMS and Microsoft suite (advantageous, but not essential)
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures
• Forklift Licence (advantageous, but not essential)
• EWP Licence (advantageous, but not essential)
• Current Driver's licence
