About the role
We are seeking an experienced detail oriented full time Bookkeeper to join our team in a medium sized business enterprise in Cronulla, NSW.
What you'll be doing
* Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting
* Processing weekly Payroll & HR for employees of multiple entities
* Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and BAS reports.
* Assisting our external accountant with the preparation of tax returns
* Maintaining general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers
* Completing bank reconciliations and cash flow management
* Providing administrative support
* Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and taxation requirements
* Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and procedures
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a small practice or similar environment
* Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices and procedures
* Proficient in using accounting software such as MYOB or Xero
* Proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
* Certificate IV Bookkeeping or equivalent
