Glebe Hill Bakery is seeking a qualified baker to join our team on a part-time basis in our bakery located in Glebe, Tasmania. As a Qualified Baker, you will play a vital role in crafting our delicious range of freshly baked breads, pastries, and other bakery items to delight our customers.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastries, and other bakery products according to established recipes and procedures
Ensuring all baked goods meet the highest standards of quality and freshness
Assisting with the daily operations of the bakery, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and cleaning duties
Collaborating with the bakery team to introduce new product ideas and improve existing recipes
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications in baking or a related culinary field
Extensive experience as a qualified baker, with a passion for creating high-quality baked goods
A minimum of 1-2 years of professional baking experience is required
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and procedures with precision
Strong time management and multitasking skills to handle the demands of a busy bakery
A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively with the bakery team
A commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Valid Australian work rights are required for this position
