About the role

The Drug and Alcohol Intake Clinician is responsible for providing a centralised first point of contact, for clients seeking assistance with substance use problems. This includes providing telephone and face to face services, information and referral services for Drug and Alcohol Services within Western NSW Local Health District

You will be working closely with the whole MDT as well as working closely with clinicians from Mental Health Drug and Alcohol as well as several NGO's, other health agencies, local GP's. The multidisciplinary teams includes, Social Workers, Psychologists, Health Clinician, Nurses, Addiction Medicine Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Clinical Leads.

The hours of the service are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm excluding public holidays. You will be well supported and orientated into the role with opportunities to acquire further training.
