About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead the Kimberley Aboriginal Women's Council in Broome, Western Australia. This is a full-time position responsible for the overall management and direction of the organisation, with a focus on empowering and supporting Aboriginal women in and across the Kimberley region.
What you'll be doing
* Provide strong leadership and vision to drive the strategic direction and objectives of the organisation
* Oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the Kimberley Aboriginal Women's Council, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, funding bodies, and community partners
* Represent the organisation and advocate on behalf of Aboriginal women in the Kimberley region
* Manage and develop the organisation's team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and funding agreements
* Oversee the organisation's financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and resource allocation
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience in a senior management or executive leadership role, preferably in the not-for-profit or community services sector
* Proven track record of strategic planning, project management, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships
* Thorough understanding of governance, compliance, and financial management principles
