Salary: Level A - $85,555 – $116,094 p.a. (pro rata for part-time) plus 17% super

Your next career chance
As a Research Fellow in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, you'll play a vital role in our ARC project on control and optimisation for energy systems. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research, publish in high-impact journals, and develop your academic career. Working alongside leading experts, you'll gain invaluable experience in operations research whilst contributing to solutions for real-world energy challenges.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conduct Innovative Research: Contribute to research design, data analysis, and literature reviews to meet ARC project objectives.

- Publish and Present Findings: Author academic papers and present at conferences to share research outcomes.

- Collaborate and Mentor: Work closely with Chief Investigators and contribute to supervising postgraduate students.

- Contribute to Teaching: Assist in training and mentoring students, developing your academic skills.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a passionate researcher with a strong background in mathematics or statistics, eager to contribute to cutting-edge research in operations research and energy systems optimisation whilst developing your academic career.

You may also:

- Hold a PhD in operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field.

- Have experience in operations research, control theory, or optimisation.

- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities.

- Be enthusiastic about collaborating in a multidisciplinary research environment.
