The Role – Senior Civil Engineer / Principal Civil Engineer
Do you want to work on big projects in a small, high performing team and have the choice to choose the type of work you do, enabling you to either work from home or in the office?
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will have the option to work either within a team environment or remotely, building and sharing your knowledge with support from the wider team, allowing you to mentor others while developing and extending your skills. Working as part of an SME, the right person may also be provided with ownership opportunities.
Within this role you can expect to be involved in projects across infrastructure, roads, traffic, built environment and surface water. The below is what you can expect to do in this role:
* Comfort and autonomy in reporting, with the ability to document and justify your decision-making and negotiate outcomes with clients;
* Knowledge in the design of public civil infrastructure (roads and drainage);
* Experience designing private civil infrastructure (bulk earthworks, retaining, pavement and drainage). 12d experience is desirable;
* Undertaking proof roll, pre-pour and pre-backfill inspections;
* Infrastructure planning and risk assessments.
* Undertake drafting and provide technical support.
About You
If you are a tertiary qualified Engineer with an ability to manage projects in a client‑facing capacity and you are looking for a workplace that offers something different – this is the role for you
To be considered for this role, you will have significant experience in a similar position and be comfortable with the above listed tasks. Your background will include recording technical data, preparing reports, and enjoying working both individually and collaboratively. Experience with (or a reasonable understanding of) relevant GIS, Hydrology or Hydraulic software is desirable but not essential. Experience to navigate AutoCAD or BricsCAD is mandatory.
Hybrid work from home, site and client offices (applications from outside of the Darling Downs looking for remote working will be considered).
