As a Lecturer, you will
* Work with the Director of Clinical Programs and Partnerships and Course Directors within the Professional Psychology Programs, to develop and maintain relationships with agencies for the purpose of securing and providing high quality professional placement opportunities for Postgraduate Professional Psychology students.
* Participate in developing and nurturing links and partnerships with industry, professional bodies and the wider community.
* Develop and administer professional development programs for field supervisors to facilitate the growth of the number of placement supervisors in the region who meet the criteria for Registered Supervisor endorsed status as required by the Psychology Board of Australia
* Provide supervision and support to students on clinical placement
* Develop flexible-delivery course materials relating to placement requirements of the course, including online materials.
* Contribute to the development of systems for assessment of placements, including evaluating supervisee competency.
* Oversee and fulfill recording of placement data, including completion of internal and external records.
* Teach in the area of professional psychology at the undergraduate and postgraduate level that is consistent with the University's principles of teaching, learning and the student experience. Contribute to the review of units and courses and implement refinements
To be successful, you'll have
* PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
* Registered psychologist (APHRA).
* Area of practice endorsement Desirable.
* Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor status Desirable.
* Record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design.
* Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning.
* Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.
* Ability to contribute to communities through research.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
