About the Business Unit The Contracts and Infrastructure Branch are responsible for contract management, commercial oversight and advisory services, as well as the effective management and maintenance of all Corrections and Justice Services' prison and related infrastructure. This includes: * The management and oversight of major contracts including those for private prisons. * Representing the Corrections and Justice Services' interests on infrastructure and construction projects to ensure the best possible outcome for stakeholders and commercial partners. * The development and implementation of all required systems, processes and policies to sustain this diverse asset portfolio. The Contract Management Team sits within the Contracts and Infrastructure Branch and is responsible for the management of the two Private Prison Contracts and Justice Transport Services Contract. About the Role Reporting to the General Manager / Contract Manager, the Senior Assurance Officer will play a critical role in ensuring operator accountability for operations across Ravenhall Correctional Centre / Fulham Correctional Centre, working in partnership with the private prison contract management teams. The Senior Assurance Officer will provide advice to the Contract Manager and General Manager on operations and service delivery performance at the private prisons, according to contractual requirements. In addition to office-based activities, aspects of this role are predominantly conducted on-site at prison locations, which may involve overnight travel. This role will be required to visit prisons at least three days per week to undertake performance monitoring obligations and to build strong relationships with prison operational staff. Some of your duties will include: * Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and manage stakeholders, including conducting sensitive and high-stakes discussions to elicit critical information and support informed decision-making. * Prepare detailed reports, briefings, communicating complex information clearly and effectively. * Contribute to the management of CV's contract obligations, including providing advice on prison operations and performance against requirements and through compliance and performance reviews, supporting compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards in all aspects of prison operations.
