Manager Contributions Planning role at Careers at Council. Wollondilly Shire Council is experiencing tremendous growth and an opportunity exists for an experienced leader to manage Council's Contributions Planning Team.
To support that growth, we are looking for a strategic and experienced leader to join us as Manager Contributions Planning, a role that's vital to how we plan, fund, and deliver infrastructure for our community.
This exciting management role will lead our Contributions Planning Team overseeing development contributions, guiding planning agreements, and ensuring every contribution supports the right projects at the right time. Reporting to Director Shire Performance, you will prepare and deliver Council initiatives in development contributions, implementing and reviewing contributions plans and overseeing the financial management of contributions for Council.

Responsibilities
* Lead the Contributions Planning Team and oversee development contributions and related financial management.
* Prepare and deliver Council initiatives in development contributions, implementing and reviewing contributions plans.
* Guide planning agreements and ensure contributions support the right projects at the right time.
* Report to the Director Shire Performance and coordinate with Executive, Councillors, staff, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated ability to understand relevant planning legislation and interpret planning instruments.
* Experience in managing projects, developing project plans, and tracking progress.
* Leadership and management experience with skills in leading, facilitating and motivating from a corporate perspective.
* Strong customer and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with Executive, Councillors, staff and external stakeholders.
* High level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare well-considered reports for Executive and Councillors.
* Experience in staff management.
* Contribute to the establishment of long-term customer service programs and initiatives to improve service levels.
* Extensive experience in planning years in advance for long-term strategies.
* Degree qualification in Town Planning, Asset Management, Civil and Structural Engineering and Financial Management.
