CSI Swinburne is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to lead a small team and shape our strategic communications agenda, strengthening our profile, amplifying evidence‐led insights and connecting the people and organisations driving positive social impact.
Working as a trusted partner to Centre leadership, along with our research and teaching teams, you'll craft compelling narratives and campaigns that translate our work across research, education and practice into clear, accessible communications for a wide range of stakeholders across the social impact ecosystem. This role also supports the work of Australia's first Centre for Inclusive Employment, which is led by CSI Swinburne.
You'll collaborate with communications colleagues across the national CSI network, member universities and Swinburne's broader communications community. Balancing strategy with hands‐on delivery, you'll build engagement and sector capability, helping stakeholders connect and engage with the work of the Centre.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
* A strong interest in, and understanding of, the social impact sector, including key trends and stakeholder roles.
* High level analytical, conceptual and problem‐solving skills, including the ability to plan and develop communication strategies and procedures within a complex environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster effective working relationships, build and maintain effective networks, and work effectively with stakeholders both internal and external.
* Highly proficient in a range of relevant software, including Adobe, Canva, MS Office suite and a range of digital marketing automation and analytics packages.

Qualifications
Completion of, or progress towards, a postgraduate degree in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience at a senior level and/or education/training.
