To deliver a safe, secure, and clean environment for clients in a 24-hour residential setting.This position is based in Townsville Recovery Services Centre, offering a Permanent Part-Time role of 30.4 hours a week.
Shift work and weekend work is involved.Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SACS Level 3.ResponsibilitiesComplete comprehensive assessments of a young person's life and living skills to develop an individual Life and Living Skills plan in collaboration with clients.
Incorporate a range of interventions, including (but not limited to) health, nutrition & fitness, personal hygiene & physical wellbeing, budgeting & finances, cleaning and maintaining living spaces, positive parenting, and positive respectful relationships.Maintain accurate, up to date client records and data for all clients, ensuring all interactions are documented within SAMIS and meet program expectations around case noting in accordance with TSA standards and procedures.Develop a co-operative relationship with all staff members, to ensure an effective team approach to program implementations and service delivery.Safe transport of clients in TSA leased vehicle.We RequireA Certificate 4 or higher qualification in social work, youth work, community work or equivalent.Experience working with people with problematic alcohol and other dependent substance use within a Case Management Framework or an understanding.Experience working with young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions.Desirable that the successful applicants have an understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing problematic alcohol and other dependent substance use, mental ill health and other disabilities.Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviour.Effective verbal and written communication skills; participate in the collection of data and report writing.Must HaveA national police record check is required.Driver's Licence.Working with Children Card.Compulsory Code of Conduct, WHS and Bullying and Harassment training modules are completed and up to date.A current first aid or the ability to quickly obtain one.Applications will close as soon as a suitable candidate is secured.The Salvation Army is an Equal Opportunity Employer who provides an inclusive work environment and embraces the diverse talent of its people.
