About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to an efficient and positive kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present menu items to a high standard
* Ensure consistency, quality, and portion control of all dishes
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
* Comply with food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations
* Assist with menu planning and daily specials (where required)
* Monitor food stock, minimise waste, and assist with ordering
* Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Train and support junior kitchen staff if required
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
* Relevant trade qualification (Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent preferred)
* Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
* Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
