The successful candidate will develop and deliver industry-specific, regional, and state-wide workforce plans and strategies to achieve workforce objectives and state government priorities. They will also contribute to the formulation of workforce interventions, initiatives, and projects to address workforce challenges in critical sectors and regions and improve labour market outcomes for target groups.
To succeed in this role, you will have an understanding of industry workforce challenges and opportunities in South Australia's critical industries, regions, and the broader economy. You will possess high-level research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in planning and delivering activities to support policy development and implementation, particularly in relation to workforce and skills development.
Additional responsibilities include experience in government policy development, decision-making, management, and accountability systems and processes, and the ability to use initiative to work successfully under broad directions, manage changing and competing priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
