You'll join a supportive workplace committed to professional development, innovation, and community engagement.What we offerFull Time- Level 5- $83,000–$86,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) + Superannuation.5 weeks Annual Leave (with 17.5% Leave Loading)Monthly RDO (13 per year)Personal (Sick) LeaveRemote Area Housing Assistance ($60 pw Renting / $90 pw Homeowner)Locality AllowanceWhat You'll DoAs the Library Services Coordinator, you will:Oversee the operations of Council's library and gallery services.Lead a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences in welcoming, modern spaces.Develop, implement, and evaluate programs that promote literacy, cultural development, and social inclusion.Build partnerships with community groups, schools, and stakeholders to strengthen services and programs.Manage budgets, funding opportunities, and reporting requirements.Ensure compliance with State Libraries Queensland agreements, WHS practices, and Council policies.What You BringStrong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire staff and volunteers.Proven experience in planning, developing, and delivering high-quality library and gallery services.Ability to engage effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds.Skills in planning, program management, and reporting.Enthusiasm for new technologies and a willingness to teach others.High-level customer service skills and the ability to present engaging group sessions.Mandatory RequirementsCurrent manual 'C' Class Driver's Licence.Experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, exhibitions, and events.Possession of a Positive Notice Blue Card (Working with Children) or the ability to obtain.Current police check/clearance.DesirableTertiary qualifications in Library and Information Services, Gallery Management, or Museum Studies (or willingness to work towards).Knowledge of local arts, culture, and heritage.Experience in public libraries, cultural administration, or project management.Familiarity with library and gallery software, systems, and programs.
