As a board member, you will provide effective stewardship of the Association according to the Cafs Vision and Purpose, and in alignment with our Strategic Plan.
We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all voices are heard and respected.The Cafs Board meets on a bi-monthly basis, either online or in-person at our head office in Ballarat.
In addition, each board member is required to attend one of four different Committees which meet quarterly.
As a board member, you will be modelling good governance practices and director obligations.The role of the Cafs Board is to add value to the resources of the organisation by:Providing community representation and a range of diverse community views.Enabling a separation of governance from management functions.Ensuring that Cafs remains focused on local issues and contributes to local communities.Offering Cafs a range of expertise and experience to supplement that provided by professional staff and other volunteers.Ensuring there is an effective program for finance and corporate risk management.About youWe are seeking experienced individuals who are passionate about improving the lives of people in the Central Highlands community and are excited about the opportunity to lead a purpose-driven organisation like Cafs.You will have a strong business acumen, good financial literacy, and a passion for helping the community.
