OUR TEAM

Our Explosive Ordnance Services team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. As a turnkey solution, we offer the opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of our business operations, creating huge opportunities for professional growth. Many of our team started in this role and are now in leadership.

As Administration Officer, you'll be the welcoming face (and voice) of Thales, providing vital administrative and receptionist support. From greeting visitors and coordinating travel to managing records and processing purchase requisitions, your contribution will ensure seamless day-to-day operations. You'll be a key link between our business, valued customers, and vital partners.

Working at our Orchard Hills site, on Darug land, your role purpose is to:

YOUR ROLE

* Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, arranging escorts and coordinating deliveries

* Supporting our Technical and Safety & Compliance teams with confidential administrative tasks

* Organising meetings, conferences, corporate gifts, and mail management

* Maintaining up-to-date organisation charts, telephone directories, and SharePoint information

* Assisting with travel bookings, processing invoices, and P-Card reconciliation

* Distributing internal memos, preparing newsletters, and updating staff documentation

YOUR EXPERIENCE

* Certificate IV in Business Administration and/or Certificate III in Competitive Systems & Practices

* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

* Confident communicator with excellent written and interpersonal skills

* Organised, dependable, flexible, and able to handle changing priorities with initiative

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role. The Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) is applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
