Job Description
A leading contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex projects successfully, our client seeks an experienced Project Manager to join their Canberra ACT business.
They undertake refurbishments, repairs, remediation, demolition, upgrades, HVAC etc. on buildings and civil works as well. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing projects from smaller up to $10m+, preferably Industrial, Defence or Commercial in nature.
As Project Manager, you will need to have strong commercial acumen, contracts management, design management, OHS, programming / planning skills as well as running meetings with consultants and subcontractors to deliver a high-quality service that meets and exceeds client expectations.
* Develop comprehensive project plans and communicate them to the team
* Ensure successful project delivery from inception through to completion
* Implement construction programmes and maintain quality standards
* Identify and manage construction risks throughout projects, escalating issues when necessary
* Manage project finances and cash flow effectively
* Oversee external engineering design aspects of projects
* Implement effective design management processes
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors on site
* Maintain HSEQ standards on the project
* Prepare regular progress reports
* Deliver exceptional client satisfaction
