The Opportunity
We're partnering with a well-established, highly regarded Chartered Accounting & Business Advisory firm in Malvern to appoint an Intermediate Accountant into their Business Services team. This is a true public practice role with variety across entities, direct client exposure, and the support to grow your technical confidence and speed.
What you'll be doing
* Prepare financial statements and income tax returns across individuals, companies, trusts/partnerships and SMSFs
* Assist with BAS/IAS workflows and client compliance obligations
* Support clients with their accounting systems and day-to-day queries
* Research tax issues and draft clear written responses/advice with senior guidance
* Work closely with seniors/managers to hit deadlines and maintain quality standards
* Contribute to a positive team environment and professional client experience
About you
* 3+ years Business Services experience in an Australian accounting firm
* CA / CPA qualified or in progress
* Strong workpaper discipline and confidence managing multiple jobs
* Client-ready communication (email/phone) and a practical, team-first mindset
* Experience with Xero essential; exposure to MYOB AE and/or BGL 360 highly regarded
