Your new role
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre‑construction phase, preparing accurate estimates, tenders and quotes in collaboration with the wider estimating team. You'll prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, liaise directly with clients throughout the tender process, and present tender outcomes internally. Your responsibilities will also include:
* Developing tender methodologies and programming input.
* Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
* Updating and enhancing estimating databases, registers and technical libraries.
* Supporting project teams with tender‑related queries.
* Coordinating tender reviews with senior management prior to submission.
* Assisting with Expressions of Interest and capability statements.
* Preparing cost codes and handover documentation for awarded projects.
* Contributing to business development activities when required.
* Mentoring junior estimators and promoting a positive team culture.
* You will also be expected to uphold quality, safety and compliance standards in line with industry regulations and internal systems.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
* A solid understanding of construction methods, drawings, specifications and industry standards.
* Strong estimating capability and familiarity with relevant software tools.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, project teams and industry partners.
* Proven project and program management skills.
* Strong relationship‑building abilities and a collaborative mindset.
* High computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, Project and estimating platforms.
* The ability to lead by example, mentor others and contribute to a positive team environment.
* A general safety induction card and willingness to maintain ongoing training, licences and industry knowledge.
