**Your new role**
Based in the lower Hunter Valley, the Engineering and EHS Manager is a member of the Site Leadership team and drives key strategic activities to achieve site compliance, safety, quality, maintenance, supply and continuous improvement outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading all engineering, maintenance and utility operations at site including capital planning and execution.- Working closely with the maintenance team to oversee equipment and maintenance reliability and process automation.- Developing and implementing EHS Management systems to achieve site objectives for safety and environmental compliance- Providing support for technical projects including continuous improvement- Develop and implement plant maintenance and reliability maintenance programmes and policies-
- Manage the operation of utilities to ensure efficiency, safety and reliability- Develop individual development plans and training to improve the capabilities of the engineering team- Provide leadership support to site management, operations and colleagues across all EHS areas- Oversee the establishment of the new EHS Management System in line with local regulations
**What you'll need to succeed**- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Degree- A minimum of 10 years professional experience in a manufacturing environment in an engineering, team leadership or EHS role- Solid experience in, and knowledge of, EHS Management Systems and Regulations- A solid knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice- The ability to encourage team collaboration and to build effective partnerships both internally and externally- You will be highly organised and be able to balance responsibilities and prioritise competing projects- You will possess excellent decision-making and communications skills and be able to effectively convey information to teams- Be able to develop teams, empower people and instil a culture of operational excellence- Possess Project Engineering and Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment
