The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Boeing Defence Australia Finance team. This role involves project cost control management and reporting to support projects across the BDA Portfolio.
This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse challenges, providing exposure to the broader Boeing Enterprise and opportunities for career growth.
Our Finance professionals play a key role in guiding critical business decisions and developing cutting-edge solutions for Boeing, a leading aerospace company. The work we do contributes to aviation and aerospace products, technologies, and services that impact lives worldwide.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to the Finance team and collaborate with Project and Scheduling teams.
2. Analyze Cost and Schedule performance; communicate financial insights and project status to stakeholders.
3. Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts with cost account managers.
4. Create and update financial models, reports, and dashboards to monitor project performance.
5. Ensure financial compliance and accuracy with project teams.
6. Assist with month-end processes, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
7. Support estimating and pricing activities.
8. Identify areas for continuous improvement and participate in related initiatives.
9. Train and mentor team members.
Experience/Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have knowledge in some or all of the following areas:
1. Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, or commerce, or equivalent experience.
2. Experience in project accounting, management accounting, or cost control roles.
3. Advanced Excel skills, including functions, PowerPivot, and dashboards.
4. Ability to adapt, be proactive, and organize priorities independently.
5. Strong communication skills and stakeholder collaboration.
6. Experience managing financial aspects of diverse projects.
7. Experience in estimating and pricing of varying complexities.
8. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and systems.
