About the role
Are you organised, proactive, and keen to contribute to the efficient running of your local Council? Clarence Valley Council is seeking a dedicated Fleet Officer to join our Finance and Supply team at the Rushforth Road Works Depot. This role is central to supporting the effective management of Council’s fleet and plant assets, ensuring our operations run smoothly across the region.

As Fleet Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate fleet systems and records, coordinating vehicle and equipment procurement and disposal, managing registrations and fuel systems and overseeing lease and pool vehicle arrangements. You’ll also provide high-level administrative support, monitor and analyse fleet databases and assist with the delivery of Council’s Light Vehicle Fleet Replacement Program.

In this position, you’ll work collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders to improve processes, drive efficiencies, and ensure compliance with Council policies. Q1. Working at the depot requires strong collaboration and safe work practices. Can you provide an example of how you’ve contributed to a safe and effective team environment in previous roles?
Q2. Fleet Officers maintain accurate inventory and fleet records. What systems or methods have you used to keep track of information, and how did this support efficiency?

Other important information
This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
