HammondCare Waratah is currently looking for a Part Time or Casual Cook to join our team.
HammondCare has a unique model of care which places the residents needs as our number one priority. As a part of the Support Service's Team, you will support our model of care by delivering high quality services within themain kitchen at our Waratah Facility catering for our 232 residents in accordance with the organisational mission and mission in action statement.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including weekends.
* Able to work Part time - Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm / 6.30am - 3pm Or Casual
* Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative.
* Must have experience in cooking for large numbers in a commercial kitchen environment.
* Have an understanding of The vulnerable persons guidelines for food safety or willingness to learn and incorporate these into your everyday work routine.
* Demonstrated understanding of safe manual handling practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in preparing and cooking bulk meals.
* Be willing to learn required standards in Aged Care for food preparation and safety.
