Moyne Shire Council is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our corporate and governance services directorate as Manager Governance, Risk and Strategy.
This senior leadership role provides trusted advice to the CEO, Mayor, councillors and executive leadership team and leads council's governance, risk, corporate planning and performance functions. You will play a key role in strengthening organisational accountability, compliance and decision-making across the organisation.
You will lead governance, risk and compliance frameworks, corporate planning and performance reporting, internal audit coordination and policy oversight, while supporting Council and the Audit and Risk Committee with high-quality governance advice. The role also leads a small multidisciplinary team across governance, risk and information services.
You will bring strong experience in governance, risk or compliance (preferably in local government or public sector), excellent stakeholder skills and the ability to provide clear, strategic advice in a complex environment. Leadership experience and sound knowledge of relevant legislation are essential.

* Employee working with children check
* Tertiary qualification in administration, governance and legal or relevant field; or substantial skills and experience in managing governance
