About the business and the role
As our Newcastle-based business continues to grow, we're looking for a professional, highly experienced Window Covering Installer to join our team. This is a key role for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and consistently delivers premium results.
You'll be responsible for installing a wide range of products, including plantation shutters, blinds, curtains, roller shutters, outdoor awnings and motorised systems. The role requires someone who is committed to doing the job correctly the first time, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt on-site to achieve the best outcome.
This is a full-time, salaried position offering long-term security within a supportive and professional team. A suitable work vehicle and quality tools will be provided. You won't be working alone — you will lead and manage a trade assistant who will support you on installations.

Job tasks and responsibilities
Install a wide range of window coverings to a consistently high standard, including: plantation shutters, blinds, curtains, roller shutters, outdoor awnings, and motorised systems.
Ensure every installation is completed correctly the first time, with strong attention to detail and finish.
Assess on-site conditions and solve any installation challenges with practical, high-quality solutions.
Maintain a professional, well-presented appearance when working in high-end homes and with premium clients.
Lead, supervise, and work alongside a trade assistant during installations.
Train and develop trade staff, passing on skills and knowledge to support team performance.
Represent the company's high standards, values, and reputation on every job.
Skills and experience
Proven experience installing a wide range of window coverings to a premium standard, including plantation shutters, blinds, curtains, roller shutters, awnings and motorised systems.
Strong technical knowledge of measuring, fitting, and finishing to ensure every job is completed right the first time.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt on site and deliver practical, high-quality solutions.
Confident, professional communicator who can interact comfortably with high-end clients and represent the business well.
A pride-driven approach to workmanship, with a sharp eye for detail and a genuine commitment to perfection.
Experience leading or working with a trade assistant, with the ability to train and guide others effectively.
Reliable, organised, and capable of working independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
