Job Description

We're seeking a driven and experienced Senior Safety Advisor to play a key role in keeping Melbourne's CityLink road network safe and compliant.

This dynamic role offers a diverse range of responsibilities and presents an excellent opportunity for a passionate safety professional to contribute to the mobilisation of one of Melbourne's iconic assets.

You'll lead, influence, and shape safety culture in a hands-on role where every day presents new challenges and opportunities.

You'll be at the forefront of coaching, mentoring, and guiding internal and external stakeholders, ensuring ongoing compliance with statutory obligations, proactively mitigating risks, and leading incident investigations.

This role balances both strategic safety leadership and practical on-the-ground involvement.


About You

* Diploma or higher qualification in Work Health and Safety is required.
* ICAM Lead investigation and Quality/Safety Lead internal Auditor qualifications are desirable.
* You must demonstrate knowledge and ability to evaluate and implement Zero Harm policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
* You'll need to develop Zero Harm improvement plans to drive and promote proactive safety awareness programs.
* You must have the ability to think strategically, considering both corporate and local objectives/drivers.
* You'll conduct audits; investigations of safety issues and assist in developing improvement plans based on findings.
* Prior experience with managing return to work programs in consultation with line management; liaison with Injury Management Team is essential.
* You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at various business levels.
* You'll also have strong computer and data analysis skills that extend to report collation and presentation.
