Are you a Male NDIS support worker on the NSW Central Coast?
Join the dynamic team at Empowered Living Services as an NDIS support worker. In this contract position, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to individuals with disabilities in the Central Coast Region. As a key member of our compassionate team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients while enjoying the flexibility of contract work with potential to move to permanent full time.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
* Facilitating community access and engagement to support clients' independence and social inclusion
* Implementing individualised support plans to address clients' unique needs and goals
* Collaborating with allied health professionals and family members to ensure holistic, person-centred care
* Maintaining detailed client records and documentation in line with NDIS requirements
* Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure the wellbeing of clients
What we're looking for
* Male applicants only due to individuals support plan requirements
* Relevant Certificate III or IV qualification in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services
* Previous experience providing support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs, mental health support and behavioural support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
* Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach to working with diverse client needs
* Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team
* Proficient in documentation and report writing
* Current First Aid certification and a valid driver's licence
