About The Role
EWIS Joint & Air SPO undertakes the acquisition and through‐life support of assigned Joint and Air Electronic Warfare capabilities used by the Australian Defence Force. This Logistics Officer role will provide inventory, supply chain and sustainment support to the CA36 program at Borneo Barracks, Cabarlah.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring effective product flow, inventory control, codification, supply support and logistics operations across complex Defence sustainment activities.
Key Details
* Location: Toowoomba QLD (Borneo Barracks / Cabarlah)
* Security Clearance: Minimum NV1 required, with requirement to uplift to NV2 upon successful contract
* Work Arrangement: Minimum 4 days onsite per week
* ITAR / Export Controls: May require disclosure of dual citizenship and approval for access to US export‐controlled materiel
* Important Eligibility: Candidates must not have worked full‐time for Defence (APS or ADF SERCAT 6/7) within the previous 12 months before commencing as an Above‐the‐Line contractor
Duties & Responsibilities
* Undertake inventory planning and stock management activities to support routine and contingency operations
* Apply Defence logistics policies, procedures and frameworks to supply support activities
* Assist with codification and item of supply management
* Generate, analyse and maintain logistics performance reporting
* Support procurement and sparing decisions with clear ILS traceability
* Assist with stock cross‐levelling and supply network optimisation
* Support hardware/software baseline configuration requirements
* Contribute to receipting, dispatch, freight and end user support activities
* Liaise with Commonwealth, field service representatives and end users regarding sustainment, repairs, swaps and disposal
* Support serviceability, mission system configuration changes and software audit/tracking
* Maintain accurate documentation in line with Defence records management requirements
To be Successful
* Strong Defence inventory management, logistics or supply chain experience
* Qualifications in Business Administration or related discipline, OR 5+ years relevant logistics/supply chain experience, OR 4+ years specialised military logistics experience
* Minimum 2 Years Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management Experience
* Strong Microsoft Office capability including Excel, Word, MS Project and reporting/database maintenance
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work under broad direction in a high‐performing team
* Critical thinking and problem‐solving capability
* Defence experience (Uniformed, APS or Contractor) highly regarded
* Understanding of Electronic Warfare highly desirable
