About the Role
We’re looking for an energetic and motivated person to join our Townsville branch as a Sales Cadet.
This role is designed to build your skills from the ground up, preparing you for a future career in Business Development within international logistics. You’ll work closely with experienced Sales Managers and Business Development Executives while gaining hands‑on exposure to global supply chain operations.
You’ll communicate regularly with Mainfreight offices around the world and be supported through mentoring, coaching, and structured training.
What You’ll Be Learning & Doing
* Structured training across Air & Ocean freight, imports, exports, customs, and domestic transport
* Preparing quotations and sales proposals for new and existing customers
* Supporting new business development activities and customer presentations
* Working alongside Sales Managers and Business Development Executives
* Exposure to the wider business, including:
o Domestic Transport
o Wharf Cartage
o Warehousing
* Attending sales meetings, training sessions, and regular branch briefings
* Cross‑department training to build a strong understanding of operations and customer service
About You
No logistics or sales experience is required — we’ll teach you. What matters most is attitude, drive, and a willingness to learn.
You’ll bring:
