Experienced Aged Care Chef Required for Residential Aged Care & Hotel Services All Rounder's
This is a Permanent Part Time position (approximately 4 -5 shifts fortnight) working as a chef in a modern and well equipped 94 bed Residential Aged Care facility situated in Wellington Point on Brisbane.
Aged Care cooking minimum 3 years as a chef, including preparation of texture modified foods and alternative diets and function work.
Full knowledge and understanding of IDDSI framework.
The facility operates a dietitian approved 4 week rotational menu which is changed seasonally. All food is prepared from scratch at our on site kitchen. It is essential you have experience in a quick paced kitchen and have a vast cooking knowledge and a positive attitude for working with the elderly.
Candidates must have a current police check, double dose of covid-19 vaccination, possess excellent communication skills, be physically fit and are passionate about the food they are creating for our Residents.
Great working hours, no split shifts. Must be available over weekends and public holidays.
This position reports to the Head of Hotel Services on site.
Essential
- Must have a current national police certificate or be willing to complete a criminal history check
- Must be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident or hold a valid work visa
