Casual shop assistant

Chandler Macleod is seeking a casual Shop Assistant to support the team at the Steggles Shop, Tamworth.

- $26.55 per hour plus 25% casual loading
- Immediate start | Availability to work Monday - Saturday
- Tamworth location | Free onsite parking

About the role
As a Shop Assistant at the Tamworth Steggles shop, you'll help customers, process sales, stock shelves, and ensure the shop is always clean and well presented.

In addition, you will support the team in:

- Ensuring protected work practices, food safety, quality standards, and environmentally responsible practices are always followed
- Managing retail sales and meeting customer needs
- Providing prompt, courteous customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Operating the cash register, handling transactions efficiently, and supporting the team to meet deadlines and achieve goals

About you
As a Shop Assistant, you will:

- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be customer-focused, passionate about delivering excellent service
- Possess money-handling skills and basic mathematical abilities
- Be well-organised and efficient
- Be a permanent resident of Australia or an Australian citizen
