The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership across all civil functions, encompassing roads, stormwater, drainage, floodplain management, water and wastewater, resource recovery, infrastructure planning, and asset management.
This position requires a results-driven leader who can foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading a team of approximately 150 staff members and promoting a culture of creativity, accessibility, respect, energy, and safety.
* Providing strategic direction and guidance to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services.
* Fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, including communities, councils, and other government agencies.
* Representing the organization in various forums, demonstrating high levels of professionalism, and promoting the organization's values.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field complemented by extensive experience in leadership and management.
* Proven track record of delivering outstanding outcomes through people, with a focus on program delivery and stakeholder engagement.
* Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to promote and implement change, develop the workforce, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
* Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with communities to achieve shared outcomes, with a strong track record of stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
Benefits
This is an executive-level position offering a total remuneration package in the range of $230,000 to $257,000 per annum.
