About the Position
As the Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology, you will be responsible for building the teaching and research profile of exercise and sport science including Exercise Physiology within the Faculty of Health. This role will contribute to the discipline through high-quality course, unit, and learning activity development and delivery, original research contributions, and engagement with the profession.
The Senior Lecturer will engage in relevant discipline and faculty committees and initiatives as required, contribute to programs across the Faculty (including new and innovative courses/units), and be involved in the development and teaching of units with on-campus and online supported teaching. The role will engage in scholarly work that informs teaching and learning in diverse educational contexts.
The Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology will develop and disseminate a stream of appropriate research relevant to their area in clinical exercise physiology.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
* A PhD in clinical exercise physiology with original, innovative, and distinguished contributions to research, scholarship and teaching demonstrated through sustained national and international performance.
* Current accreditation with Exercise Sport Science Australia as an exercise physiologist.
* Significant practice experience providing clinical exercise physiology services to clients including those with multiple chronic conditions.
* Experience leading and collaboratively developing, coordinating, and delivering courses/units within the exercise physiology field for online, hybrid, and face-to-face delivery at CDU.
* Significant experience supervising students and staff.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, contribute to staff meetings, discipline, and university committees.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with time management and organizational abilities.
* Ability to forge strong collaborative links and contribute to the growth of the profession in the region.
* Willingness to embrace knowledge, skills, and ideals of clinical practice in rural and remote areas.

Remuneration
Appointment to HE Academic Level C. Base salary range: $134,128 - $156,967 per annum. Total remuneration range: $156,929 - $183,651 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
