The City of Karratha are looking for energetic and community-minded persons who are passionate about working with children and creating positive experiences for young people.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the recreation industry and working with children, with experience in youth services and delivering supervised programs for young people being highly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Community Services Assistants are responsible for the provision of a high standard of customer service whilst delivering activities and programs to the Wickham Community.
* Successful applicants for this Position can also work as a Community Services Assistant across the following City of Karratha Facilities: Wickham Library; Wickham Base Youth Centre; Karratha Red Earth Arts Precinct
* Provide productive customer service to the general public, community groups and organisations throughout the City of Karratha.
* Assist permanent staff in the high-quality provision of after school and holiday programs, services and events in the Wickham community.
* Ensure a safe environment is provided to all Centre users / clientele.

* We value candidates who demonstrate excellent communication skills, a positive and team-focused approach, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families.
* Flexibility is important, as the role requires a willingness to work varied hours, including some evenings and weekends in line with facility operations.
* Current First Aid Certificate
