Job Title: Mental Health Professional - Gambling Harm Specialist
About the Role
The University of Sydney is seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our GambleAware team. As a key member of our team, you will provide professional psychological treatment to clients experiencing gambling-related challenges or harm. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to community engagement, clinical research, and service delivery evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and treatment for clients experiencing gambling harm
- Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to optimize client care
- Engage with community stakeholders and raise awareness of gambling harm through community events
- Contribute to achieving clinic and team outcomes by participating in projects and activities as specified by the Clinic Manager
Requirements
- Full and current registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Endorsement as a clinical psychologist (desired)
- Demonstrable understanding and experience in complying with Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy, and other relevant guidelines
- Experience in providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Experience working with First Nations clients and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities (desired)
- Experience in community engagement activities (desired)
