About The Role
* Lead the assessment of complex development applications, applying your specialist planning expertise to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
* Exercise delegated authority to determine applications, provide expert advice, and ensure compliance through follow‑up inspections and reporting.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the community to guide development in line with strategic planning goals.
* Contribute to broader planning initiatives, including LEP amendments, policy development, and preparation of Development Control Plans.
* Provide day‑to‑day leadership and guidance to assessment staff, supporting recruitment, workflow management, and team development.

We Are Seeking
* A qualified Town Planner with tertiary planning qualifications and eligibility for membership with the Planning Institute of Australia.
* Someone with extensive knowledge of NSW planning legislation, regulations, and strategic planning processes.
* Demonstrated expertise in managing the full development application process, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills.
* An experienced supervisor with proven capability in leading staff and guiding operational work.
* A candidate holding a current Class C driver's licence.
