Description
The senior NPD Project Engineer will act as the conduit between the technical, sales, marketing, and customer service functions to ensure that products meet market requirements. They will assist in customizing designs to customer needs. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the role involves identifying new applications or emerging trends in Australia and overseas to highlight growth opportunities and leading the team in the successful introduction of new products.
Profile
This is a busy role requiring a creative problem-solver, self-motivated, and ambitious individual. The ideal candidate will have:
* Bachelor of Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electronic Engineering
* 6-8 years of experience in a relevant mechanical or electro-mechanical product development field
* Project management skills related to product development and delivery of industrial/consumer products, including product specification and testing methodology
* Experience with product or electrical compliance standards
* Six Sigma Green Belt certification
