About The Role

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

* Processing specimens, including culturing urines, swabs (various sites) and faeces
* Preparing smears for Gram stain and reading Gram‑stained slides
* Performing microscopy of cells in fluids and urine
* Screening culture plates for significant growth
* Identifying crystals
* Using analysers for urine microscopy and dipstick chemistry
* Using analysers for occult blood determination
* Performing identification and susceptibility testing

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

* Pathology Technicians Certificate or Associate Diploma of Medical Technology
* Ability to demonstrate sound organisation skills, and work well under pressure
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
* A current full unrestricted driver licence may be required
