About the role
This role provides strategic leadership and applies sound judgment and technical expertise in the operation of wastewater treatment facilities, including the Biosolids/Gasification Production Plant—Australia's first of its kind—located at Loganholme, the City of Logan's largest treatment site.
The position is responsible for leading wastewater and gasification operations across multiple sites, ensuring the effective execution of the integrated daily service plan. Key focus areas include fostering strong communication, driving a culture of safety and quality, and providing proactive people leadership to deliver positive outcomes for both the workforce and the community.
As part of Logan Water's leadership cohort, the role is expected to collaborate across teams and contribute to the development and implementation of integrated frontline leadership strategies that support Logan Water's field-based workforce.
Position responsibilities include:
• Operate biosolids facilities in compliance with environmental standards and End of Waste Code.
• Oversee work planning, coordination, and execution with internal teams and contractors.
• Supervise delivery of operational and maintenance plans.
• Foster a culture of efficient, integrated service delivery and continuous improvement.
• Lead and motivate teams to deliver and improve operational outcomes.
