The Position
* Lead institution‐wide academic administration and governance across the full student lifecycle
* Shape policy, systems and service excellence in a transforming higher education environment
* Play a pivotal executive role partnering with academic leaders to safeguard standards and enable student success
* Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the university's student administration functions and academic regulatory compliance
* Ensure consistency, integrity and compliance across institutional policies, processes and systems that support students from admission through to graduation
* Oversee key areas including student records, enrolment operations, examinations and graduation, and systems that underpin these functions
* Focus on continuous improvement, system integration and service quality to enhance the student and staff experience
* Lead a portfolio of over 50 staff and an operating budget of $11.8M
* Partner with senior academic and professional leaders across the Students and Education portfolio, providing strategic advice on policy, regulation, compliance and operational effectiveness
* Act as a liaison with TEQSA and other regulatory bodies, safeguarding academic quality and ensuring accurate statutory and Commonwealth reporting
Qualifications
* Experienced leader with deep knowledge of the Australian higher education environment
* Strong understanding of legislation and regulatory frameworks
* Demonstrated ability to deliver student‐centred, best‐practice administrative services within complex organisations
